Directors

Andrew Namiki Roberts
Director • President

Andrew Namiki Roberts has served as a director of the Hawaii Firearms Coalition since its inception in 2018 and has been actively engaged in Second Amendment advocacy since 2015. Originally from the United Kingdom, Andrew has lived in Hawaiʻi since 2006 and brings an international perspective combined with long-standing local experience to his work.

Andrew’s advocacy began after his constitutional rights were violated by the Honolulu Police Department, leading to his first Second Amendment lawsuit. Since that time, he has been a plaintiff in multiple Second Amendment–related legal actions, including cases addressing the legality of electronic control devices and affirming the right to bear arms for lawful residents of the United States. His work emphasizes due process, equal protection under the law, and clear statutory limits on government authority.

In addition to litigation, Andrew has played a central role in legislative advocacy, public education, and organizational development for the Hawaii Firearms Coalition. He has participated in numerous investigative and research initiatives focused on government transparency and public access to firearms-related information in the State of Hawaiʻi.

Andrew also serves as a media spokesperson for the organization and has taken part in dozens of television, radio, and print news interviews over the years, helping translate complex legal and policy issues into accessible information for the public.

He attended Richmond upon Thames College in the United Kingdom, where he studied engineering and obtained certifications in CNC-controlled manufacturing and design. Andrew remains committed to principled advocacy, lawful civic engagement, and the protection of constitutional rights.
